Genuine People

Our family has been selling cameras to New Zealanders since 1946 and we have a good relationship with all our photographic suppliers (manufacturer's authorised distributors).

If what you want is not listed then don’t hesitate to contact us – we have only listed what is currently in our store – not in our suppliers’ warehouses. We may have a suitable alternative on hand or we can place a special order with one of our numerous suppliers.

We thrive on the challenge of locating hard-to-find items – we even have a few older accessories tucked away in our storage shed. When we say it's not available any more we mean it.

Privacy

We will never sell or exchange your personal information and we will never release personal information

Ordering

  • We accept orders from and for delivery to New Zealand only.
  • Most orders will be fulfilled and despatched within 2-5 working days if in stock.
  • We accept no responsibility if goods are unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • We will advise you as soon as possible if stock is not available or if there is any expected delay in your order.

Warranties

All products are sold with full manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated. For the majority of our products, this is 12 months parts and labour within New Zealand. Canon and Fujifilm provide a 3 year warranty for cameras and lenses purchased through the authorised distributor.

Damaged Goods

If you are unsatisfied because an item was damaged in shipment please contact us immediately.

Ordering

  • If you discover there is a fault with a product you have purchased from us, please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to rectify the problem
  • Any item returned must be sent back in the same condition as it was sent out, complete with the original packaging, manuals etc.
  • Faulty cameras must be returned to the manufacturer’s authorised distributor for evaluation and will be repaired or replaced at the distributor’s discretion.

Wrong item supplied

If the wrong item has been supplied through a fault of our own we will exchange, credit or refund within 7 days. Please contact us immediately.

We do not offer a refund under circumstances where you have changed your mind after purchasing a product.

Genuine Prices

Our prices are competitive - we have a good relationship with our suppliers and being a member of the Photo Specialty Group helps us negotiate better prices than we could as a single store. We often hear comments like “your prices are a lot cheaper than I expected from a local store”.

Pricing

  • All of our prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST
  • Product prices are regularly updated when price changes are received from our suppliers.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. Every effort has been made to ensure our online store has the most correct and up to date pricing, however we reserve the right to alter published prices due to exceptional circumstances.

Typographical Errors

  • In the event content on the Website contains incorrect information, or a product is listed at an incorrect price, due to typographical errors or error in pricing information, Snapshot shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price.
  • Snapshot shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Snapshot shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
