May 14 update - WE'RE NOW OPEN FOR INSTORE PURCHASES

Hi Everyone

We are going to ease back into our operating hours as we adjust to the Covid19 way of operating safely. Staff will be behind the scenes outside these hours processing online orders  but the doors will be open to customers from 10am to 3pm, Monday - Friday from May 14. Please phone for an appointment outside these hours if necessary.

We will be meeting appropriate public health requirements for our workplace, including regularly disinfecting  surfaces; washing and drying hands, physical distancing, a limit on the number of people in the store at any one time, to ensure safe shopping for our customers.

  • We will have a Contact Tracing Register on the table at the front door so please fill this in as you enter our store.
  • Then clean your hands with the sanitiser provided
  • Maintain social distancing at all times within the store
  • At the counter stand at the table in front of the counter to maintain social distancing
  • For cameras and accessories do not approach the cabinets or walls - remain behind the barriers and staff will find what you need.
  • We have enabled PayWave to assist with contactless payments up to $200
  • Passport photos will be taken one person at a time except for babies where one adult can hold the baby.
  • Only one of our photo kiosks will be available with one person to use it at a time. You are welcome to sit elsewhere and use your phone to order photos via our website.
  • Be patient, say safe.

April 28 update: WE’RE NOW “OPEN” FOR CLICK AND COLLECT

Hi Everyone

We've finally moved to Alert Level 3 and some of our staff will be working behind closed doors between Mon-Fri, 10am to 2pm for phone orders and phone queries as well as processing on-line orders. During these hours phone us to arrange contactless deliveries and collections outside our store. Phone (07) 838 0031

Outside of these hours you can order the following online 24/7:

  • You don’t need to use our photo kiosks – order photos and photo products from home or your phone and pay on-line then once printed we’ll contact you to arrange collection if you select "Pick-up Instore" instead of courier.

     CLICK FOR SERVICES

  • During lockdown we’ve been regularly posting on Facebook and Instagram encouraging people to get their memories sorted ready for digitising post-lockdown. Prior to Covid-19 handing over packages of photos and tapes to our staff involved a lot of face to face interaction so we have now set up a contactless online system where you order and pay for scans, etc then drop off outside our store. We now have modules for videotape transfers, photos and slide scans, prints from prints, sensor cleaning and repairs

  • We  have an on-line store for cameras and gear but can’t guarantee pricing or availability of items listed until we're back operating and can contact suppliers.
  • We also have hundreds of things in store that are not on the website.
  • Please phone between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday to confirm price and availability of anything you need. Leave a message on the answerphone or email graham@snapshot.co.nz outside these hours.  

WE'LL BE OPEN LIMITED HOURS FOR COLLECTION

  • We will have some staff working on-site between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday for the duration of level 3.
  • Phone us at 07-838-0031 to arrange collection . You may be comfortable working with us through the Union Espresso window beside our door or prefer that we bring your parcel out to your car - park in the P10 or loading zones closest to our store.
  • If you are picking up camera gear you will need to present your order confirmation email (printed or on your phone) and a form of ID on pick up.

WE'LL BE OPERATING SAFELY

  • We will ensure all boxes we dispatch are as clean as we can possibly make them.
  • We won’t start working on work dropped off until it is sanitised - in the case of paper/cardboard packaging it will be left on the bench for three days to allow any viruses to die
  • We will be meeting appropriate public health requirements for our workplace, including regularly disinfecting  surfaces; washing and drying hands, keeping a 2 metre distance from couriers/customers at delivery/collection and 1 metre  from each other in our workplace.

UPDATE APRIL 10

Since the lock-down we have posted regular tips to Facebook and Instagram encouraging you to sort through your memorabilia.

The lock-down has provided the perfect time for sorting through your photo and video collections so we hope you took up this challenge but if you didn’t it’s never too late to start. Getting slides and tapes digitised can be very rewarding as the devices to view these are now becoming obsolete. Mould is also the enemy of slides and tapes so the sooner you get them converted to digital the better.

Once you’ve had your old photos digitised you can share them by turning them into gifts such as photobooks and photo collages.

In our "downtime" our staff have been sorting through their own photos - pictured is Jill & Graham sorting through some of their own.
