September1, 2021 - Level 3 : we are “OPEN” FOR CLICK AND COLLECT

At Alert Level 3 staff will be working behind closed doors  for phone orders and phone queries as well as processing on-line orders. We are on-site 10am to 2pm Mon-Fri - other times by appointment. Phone us to arrange contactless deliveries and collections outside our store. Phone (07) 838 0031

      CLICK for PHOTOS

  • You don’t need to use our photo kiosks – order photos and photo products from home or your phone and pay on-line then once printed we’ll contact you to arrange collection if you select "Pick-up Instore" instead of courier.

  • During lockdown we’ve been  encouraging people to get their memories sorted ready for digitising post-lockdown. Prior to Covid-19 handing over packages of photos and tapes to our staff involved a lot of face to face interaction so we have now set up a contactless online system where you order and pay for scans, etc then drop off outside our store. We now have modules for videotape transfers, photos and slide scans, prints from prints, sensor cleaning and repairs

  • We  have an on-line store for cameras and gear but can’t guarantee pricing or availability of items listed until we're back operating and can contact suppliers.
  • We also have hundreds of things in store that are not on the website.
  • Please phone between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday to confirm price and availability of anything you need. Leave a message on the answerphone or email outside these hours.

  • Phone us at 07-838-0031 to arrange collection . You may be comfortable working with us through the Union Espresso window beside our door or prefer that we bring your parcel out to your car - park in the P10 or loading zones closest to our store.
  • If you are picking up camera gear you will need to present your order confirmation email (printed or on your phone) and a form of ID on pick up.
  • As per Level 3 rules: Face masks must be worn by customers and staff in customer-facing roles. This includes customers picking up click and collect goods.

  • We will ensure all boxes we dispatch are as clean as we can possibly make them.
  • We won’t start working on work dropped off until it is sanitised - in the case of paper/cardboard packaging it will be left on the bench for three days to allow any viruses to die
  • We will be meeting appropriate public health requirements for our workplace.

We would like to introduce the Snapshot weekly photography competition where each week we will post the new weekly theme on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Once you have snapped your photograph all you need to do is upload it to either our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram using the hashtag #Snapshotweekly (FB & IG  links are below).

Tag away, share with friends and whanau and lets get creative! We want this competition to be fun for all the family. The competition will start on Saturday the 27th of August and will run until Sunday the 26th of September. Prizes will be given out at the end of the competition for the most creative, cool and awesome lockdown pictures.

August 17, 2021 : Lockdown Level 4

With the Lockdown Level 4 announced tonight we are regret to announce that our World Photo Day celebrations and product showcases are CANCELLED.

Our store is closed but you can order on-line and we'll deliver when the government allows.

Why not get your photos sorted and order some prints for your album or create a photo gift for Dad.

Level 4 April 2020

The lock-down has provided the perfect time for sorting through your photo and video collections so we hope you took up this challenge but if you didn’t it’s never too late to start. Getting slides and tapes digitised can be very rewarding as the devices to view these are now becoming obsolete. Mould is also the enemy of slides and tapes so the sooner you get them converted to digital the better.

Once you’ve had your old photos digitised you can share them by turning them into gifts such as photobooks and photo collages.

In our "downtime" our staff have been sorting through their own photos - pictured is Jill & Graham sorting through some of their own.
