MEMORY BACK-UP MONTH
Are you ready for World Backup Day on March 31?
Backing up your memories is having multiple copies of your photos and videos in multiple places. If it’s in only one place, it’s not backed up. But how do you make "multiple copies" of your precious old slides, tapes and photographs?
Get them DIGITISED at Snapshot! Then save all of these to the same folder as your photos from cameras and phones and regularly back-up this folder.
Seen those news articles of a house destroyed by fire and the owner looking through the remains for their photo albums? No amount of insurance can replace photos so now’s the time to start getting them DIGITISED and BACKED UP!
NEED HELP WITH THIS PROJECT?
We digitise photos, slides, and tapes which means that we scan photos and slides to jpeg files and convert video tapes to mp4 files. It's then up to you to organize these and back them up regularly and save in multiple places.
Our staff do the digitising and Jill, our certified photo organiser, can teach you how to organise your memories so you can find them again as well as show you a backup system. Learn more.
GET SORTED - FINDING THE KEEPERS!
You don’t want every photo digitised – just the ones that matter (we call these the KEEPERS). So start sorting through that collection and separate out the keepers.
Here's a video Jill & Graham made during Covid19 Alert Level 4 in 2020 with some tips but if you need help to get started then Jill Boswell provides photo organising consultations – or get a group together and she’ll do a “mini class”
